PUBLIC NOTICE The Louisiana State University (LSU), Office of Planning, Design & Construction, is proposing to rehabilitate the former Headhouse for the LSU College of Agriculture’s Greenhouses. The project will include rear linear additions resembling the former greenhouses to support the new use. The former Headhouse is a contributing historic resource to the LSU National Register Historic District. This project will be reviewed per the requirements of the State Capitol Historic District (R.S. 25: 781-785). Accordingly, this project will require review and approval by the Director of the Louisiana Division of Historic Preservation. To ensure that the public’s voice is heard, the Director will convene a public hearing on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM, in the Capitol Annex building, 1051 North 3rd Street (room 402) in Baton Rouge, and via a Teams link, by request only.
