PUBLIC NOTICE Case No. F209479 – Ragland v. Ragland East Baton Rouge Family Court, Division B A status conference in the matter of Ragland v. Ragland is scheduled to proceed on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in East Baton Rouge Family Court, Division B. Despite customary practice, this setting has not been posted on Clerk Connect, the online filing and docket system. The Judicial Administrator of East Baton Rouge Family Court has stated that it will not be posted until after the proceeding is completed. The undersigned party to the case therefore issues this public notice to: • Preserve transparency, • Safeguard due process rights, and • Protect the public’s right of access to court proceedings. Past inconsistencies in notice, including a June 25, 2025 status conference that was not properly communicated to the undersigned, have raised serious concerns. The undersigned has previously experienced secret or restricted proceedings, including one trial where a legislative assistant for Rep. Jerome Zeringue was removed from the courtroom while constitutional rights were infringed. This case is also part of the ongoing investigation into East Baton Rouge Family Court initiated by Louisiana Senate Resolution 81, making transparency and accuracy of the public record even more critical. Because of these issues, I do not feel safe when proceedings are hidden from public view. Transparency in our courts is not optional. Dated this 22nd day of September, 2025. /s/ Katherine Diamond (Ragland) Plaintiff, pro se 159864 Sept. 25, 1t $209.71
