PUBLIC NOTICE - - - VILLAGE OF NORWOOD MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN REGULAR SESSION February 20, 2026 The Mayor and Board of Aldermen met in regular session at the Norwood Town Hall on Thursday, February 20, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Becky Bellue presiding. Aldermen Trey Poole and Kimmi Sellers were present. Alderman Ronnie Jett was absent. All motions carried unanimously unless otherwise noted. A motion was made by Ald Sellers and was seconded by Ald. Poole approving the minutes of the previous meeting. A motion was made by Ald. Poole and was seconded by Ald. Sellers approving the financial statement from January, as well as payment of the new bills for February. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Police Report – Police unit has been repaired. A discussion was held regarding large gatherings in the park area. Chief Stewart and the Board agreed that we cannot allow large gatherings at this time, due to the recent events in the parish. Mayor Bellue said that she’s been informed that there is opiate funding available through the parish and she wants to request some for car and body cameras, as well as Narcan. Alderman Ronnie Jett entered the meeting at this time. 2. Fire Report – Fire Chief Jimmy Garig reported that he’d been doing a lot of cleaning up and maintenance around the station. PIAL has returned our fire rating as a class 5, both in and out of town. He stated that to continue to maintain our ratings, we are going to have to have more participation, as ratings are more stringent each cycle. 3. Maintenance Report – Kohnke Rogillio reported that they have been having to repair a few leaks caused by the cable crew that’s in town. 4. Clerk’s Report –Jennie Jelks reported on the LMA Mid-Winter Conference. NEW BUSINESS: There being no further business to discuss, a motion to adjourn was made by Ald. Sellers and seconded by Ald.
