PUBLIC NOTICE - - - The Jefferson Parish Water Department has issued a Director Declared Emergency a New Automatic Priming System for The Old River Station. This is for a new vacuum priming system for our old river station. This system primes the river pumps with water that pump from the Mississippi River to the water treatment plant. Without this system the old river station pumps are inoperable because they cannot prime. We have a leaking gate valve that needs to be replaced at our new river station and cannot be done until we get our old river station back up and operating. This needs to be done quickly before summer comes and our draw and usage increases. The work will be performed by Innovative Flow Solutions at an estimated cost of $228,575.00. 180798-mar 17-1t $14.19
