PUBLIC NOTICE - - - The Jefferson Parish School Board is seeking applicants who meet the qualifications of the office to fill a vacancy for the unexpired term of the resigning member in School Board District 9. This vacancy was caused by the resignation of the School Board Member of that District, which unexpired term begins on the date of selection of the applicant to fill the vacancy and ends on December 31, 2026. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, able to read and write, possess a high school diploma or its equivalent as determined by BESE, have resided in Louisiana for the preceding 2 years, and have been actually domiciled for the preceding year in District 9 from which appointment is sought. Applications from those who meet the above qualifications interested in filling the vacancy in District 9 will be received at the Office of the Chief of Human Resources, 501 Manhattan Blvd., Harvey, La., beginning June 3, 2026 and must be received there no later than June 8, 2026 at noon.
