PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Notice of Applications for Funding This public notice is for Jefferson Parish Department of Community Development funding applications under the Louisiana Emergency Solutions Grants Program 2025-2027 and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Fiscal Year 2026 competitive grants. The Jefferson Parish Council is anticipated to ratify the application for Fiscal Year 2025 State Emergency Solutions Grant program (SESG) funding on July 22, 2026. Jefferson Parish is proposing to administer these Louisiana Housing Corporation, (LHC) allocated funds that can be used for the following purposes: Street Outreach, Emergency Shelter, Homelessness Prevention, Rapid Re-housing Assistance, Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), and administrative activities. Applications for these funds through the 2025 NOFAs are due by no later than 4:00 p.m. CDT on Friday, July 20, 2026. A maximum expected possible award of $10 million over 6 years will be utilized to increase affordable single-family housing and repair eligible owner-occupied housing. The Jefferson Parish Department of Community Development anticipates applying for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) “Lead Hazard Control” competitive grant expected to be due in August of 2026. A maximum expected possible award of $8 million will be utilized to reduce lead paint hazards in eligible low- and moderate-income households.
