PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Notice is hereby given that the Fifth Ward Consolidated Gravity Drainage District No. 1 has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification to dredge a portion of an unnamed tributary of the Mermentau River near Pelican Road and a portion of Lazy Point Canal and a portion of an unnamed tributary of Lazy Point Canal and Bayou Queue de Tortue near Istre Road. Dredged material will be sprayed on adjacent banks to a maximum of 6 inches high and will be within 70 ft. of the bank line. All work will occur west of Morse in Acadia Parish. The Fifth Ward Consolidated Gravity Drainage District No. 1 is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority contained in the LAC 33:IX.1507.A-E and provisions of Section 40 I of the Clean Water Act. Comments concerning this application can be filed with the Water Permits Division within ten days of this notice by referencing WQC 260303-01, Al 90270 to the following address: Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality Water Permits Division P.O.
