PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Notice is hereby given that Sierra Frac Sand, LLC has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification to clear, grade, dredge, and place spoil to expand commercial dredging operations at the existing Sierra Frac Sand, LLC Cedar Bluff Sand Mining Facility on land and in the Red River adjacent to the facility. Additional work includes the sloping I0.79 acres of the bank of the Red River to facilitate the installation of rip rap, should it be required, and the relocation of 2.64 acres of existing berm on land. The facility is located at 350 Ballard Road in Plain Dealing. Work will occur in both Bossier and Caddo Parishes. Sierra Frac Sand, LLC is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority contained in the LAC 33:IX.1507.A-E and provisions of Section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Comments concerning this application can be filed with the Water Permits Division within ten days of this notice by referencing WQC 250520-01, Al 206 116 to the following address: Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality Water Permits Division P.O.
