PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Notice is hereby given that Parish Aggregates, L.L.C. has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification to excavate sand on the right descending bank of the Mississippi River at 4549 Highway 18 West and stockpile it off Highway 44 near the existing Nexpera Burnside Facility. The sand will be loaded into trucks and brought to the Nexpara Storage Area or loaded onto a hopper barge and brought to the Nexpara Unloading Area. Material transported to the Unloading Area will be brought to the Storage Area by trucks. Matting will be used to create a levee crossing for the trucks bringing sand from the Unloading Area. The Unloading Area is located on the left descending bank of the Mississippi River off Highway 44 near the existing Nexpera Burnside Facililty. In addition, an access road will be improved and a culvert will be replaced as part of the project. All work will occur northeast of Donaldsonville and near Burnside in Ascension Parish. Parish Aggregates, L.L.C. is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority contained in the LAC 33:IX.1507.A-E and provisions of Section 401 of the Clean Water Act.
