PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Notice is hereby given that Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline, LLC has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification to clear, grade, excavate, and place fill to install approximately 3.05 miles of 48-inch diameter natural gas pipeline from Jefferson County, Texas to Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The following activities will occur near Gulf Beach Highway, west of Cameron and Johnsons Bayou, in Cameron Parish. A portion of the pipeline will be horizontally directionally drilled under Sabine Pass. At the point of ending of the pipeline, a 170’x 300’ TAP Receiver Facility with associated piping/receiver to clean and inspect the new pipeline will be constructed. Within the proposed Facility, approximately 150 feet of 42-inch diameter pipeline and 100 feet of 36-inch diameter pipeline will be installed to connect the proposed mainline extension with existing Kinder Morgan infrastructure. In addition, modifications of above ground pipeline regulators and metering facilities within another existing facility will be completed. Temporary workspaces will also be utilized. In Calcasieu Parish, near Burton Shipyard Road, south of Sulphur and Moss Lake, interconnect facilities will be installed from an existing 42-inch diameter mainline to provide a connection with Woodside. Interconnect facilities include a 42-inch by 30-inch tee, a 30- inch block valve, and approximately 25 feet of 30-inch diameter pipe within a permanent 50’ x 50’ fenced facility. Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline, LLC is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority contained in the LAC 33:IX.1507.A-E and provisions of Section 401 of the Clean Water Act.
