PUBLIC NOTICE - - - NOTICE The Lafayette Parish Council met in Regular Session on May 19, 2026 and adopted the following ordinances: PARISH ORDINANCE NO. PO-017-2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE LAFAYETTE PARISH COUNCIL AMENDING THE FY 25/26 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGET OF THE LAFAYETTE CITY-PARISH CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT BY TRANSFERRING $10,000 FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL DISTRICT 5 CAPTIAL APPROPRIATION TO THE COUNCIL OFFICE-PARISH TOURISM ACCOUNT FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDING NEEDED FOR OBLIGATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CLOSING RECEPTION OF THE 2026 NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE & EXPOSITION AND FOR THE HOSTING OF THE POLICE JURY ASSOCIATION OF LOUISIANA REGION 3 MEETING BE IT ORDAINED by the Lafayette Parish Council, that: SECTION 1: The Lafayette Parish Council finds it necessary to provide additional funding within the Council Office–Parish Tourism account through the reallocation of existing Parish Council District 5 capital appropriations currently budgeted for District purposes at $60,000. SECTION 2: The FY 25/26 Operating and Capital Budget of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government is hereby amended by transferring $10,000 from the Parish Council District 5 Capital Appropriation to the Council Office–Parish Tourism account for additional funding needed due to previously unanticipated expenses associated with Lafayette Parish’s obligations to participate in the closing reception of the 2026 National Association of Counties Annual Conference & Exposition through the Police Jury Association of Louisiana (PJAL) on Monday, July 20, 2026, and to augment the budget for the PJAL Region 3 Meeting that Lafayette Parish is responsible for hosting on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. SECTION 3: These adjustments shall be as reflected in any pertinent documents which are attached hereto and made a part hereof and filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Council. SECTION 4: All ordinances or resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5: This ordinance shall become effective upon signature of the Lafayette Mayor-President, the elapse of ten (10) days after receipt by the Lafayette Mayor-President without signature or veto, or upon an override of a veto, whichever occurs first. * * * * * PARISH ORDINANCE NO. PO-018-2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE LAFAYETTE PARISH COUNCIL AMENDING THE FY 25/26 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGET OF THE LAFAYETTE CITY-PARISH CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT BY TRANSFERRING $35,000 FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL DISTRICT 2 CAPITAL APPROPRIATION TO THE PARKS, ARTS, RECREATION AND CULTURE (PARC) DEPARTMENT FOR A TENNIS COURT-TO-PICKLEBALL COURT CONVERSION PROJECT AT JUDICE PARK AND BY TRANSFERRING $15,000 FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL DISTRICT 2 CAPITAL APPROPRIATION TO THE PARC DEPARTMENT FOR AN ARCHERY RANGE PROJECT AT DUSON PARK BE IT ORDAINED by the Lafayette Parish Council, that: SECTION 1: The Lafayette Parish Council desires to provide funding assistance for recreational improvements within Lafayette Parish through the reallocation of existing Parish Council District 2 capital appropriations currently budgeted at $60,000. SECTION 2: The FY 25/26 Operating and Capital Budget of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government is hereby amended by transferring $35,000 from the Parish Council District 2 Capital Appropriation to the Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture (PARC) Department for a tennis court-to-pickleball court conversion project at Judice Park. SECTION 3: The FY 25/26 Operating and Capital Budget of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government is hereby further amended by transferring $15,000 from the Parish Council District 2 Capital Appropriation to the PARC Department for an archery range project at Duson Park. SECTION 4: These adjustments shall be as reflected in any pertinent documents which are attached hereto and made a part hereof and filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Council. SECTION 5: All ordinances or resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 6: This ordinance shall become effective upon signature of the Lafayette Mayor-President, the elapse of ten (10) days after receipt by the Lafayette Mayor-President without signature or veto, or upon an override of a veto, whichever occurs first. * * * * * PARISH ORDINANCE NO. PO-019-2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE LAFAYETTE PARISH COUNCIL AMENDING THE FY 25/26 CAPITAL BUDGETS OF THE LAFAYETTE CITY-PARISH CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT BY TRANSFERRING $100,000 FROM FUND 2060 FUND BALANCE TO THE LASCC LIVESTOCK BARN PROJECT AND APPROPRIATING WITHIN THE ELECTED OFFICIALS CAO DEPARTMENT, ANIMAL SHELTER AND CARE DIVISION BE IT ORDAINED by the Lafayette Parish Council, that: SECTION 1: The FY 25/26 Capital Budgets of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government is hereby amended by transferring $100,000 from Fund 2060 Fund Balance to the LASCC Livestock Barn Project and appropriating within the Elected Officials CAO Department, Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center Division Budget. SECTION 2: This transfer of funds shall be as reflected in any pertinent documents which are attached hereto and made a part hereof and filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Council. SECTION 3: All ordinances or resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
