PUBLIC NOTICE - - - NOTICE The Lafayette City Council met in Regular Session on May 5, 2026 and adopted the following ordinances: CITY ORDINANCE NO. CO-028-2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE LAFAYETTE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE LAFAYETTE CITY-PARISH CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT TO SELL AT PUBLIC AUCTION AND PUBLIC INTERNET AUCTION SURPLUS VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS MOVABLE PROPERTY WHICH ARE NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES, AS PER THE ATTACHED LIST (PUBLIC AUCTION AND PUBLIC INTERNET AUCTION) BE IT ORDAINED by the Lafayette City Council, that: SECTION 1: The Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government has in storage surplus vehicles, equipment and other miscellaneous LCG movable property which are no longer needed for public purposes, as per the attached list. SECTION 2: It would be in the best interest of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government to sell this movable property at a public auction and public internet auction to the highest bidder. SECTION 3: The attached list represents the surplus LCG movable property to be sold. SECTION 4: All items shall be sold in an “as-is, where-is” condition. The Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government reserves the right to reject any or all bids, establish minimum bid prices, or withdraw any items from the sale. SECTION 5: The Lafayette Mayor-President, Monique B. Boulet, be and she is hereby authorized and directed to sell at a public auction and public internet auction surplus LCG movable property as per the attached list. SECTION 6: It is specifically recognized that all requirements of the State law pertaining to the sale of surplus movable property including notice of this proposed ordinance to the public shall be adhered to. SECTION 7: Any opposition to this ordinance shall be made in writing and filed with the Office of the Clerk of the Council within fifteen (15) days of first publication. SECTION 8: All ordinances or resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 9: This ordinance shall become effective upon signature by the Lafayette Mayor-President, the elapse of ten (10) days after receipt by the Lafayette Mayor-President without signature or veto, or upon override of a veto, whichever occurs first. * * * * * CITY ORDINANCE NO. CO-032-2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE LAFAYETTE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING THE FY 25/26 OPERATING BUDGET AND ADJUSTING THE MANNING TABLES OF THE LAFAYETTE CITY-PARISH CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT TO INCREASE THE HOURLY PAY RATE OF THE SYSTEMS ANALYST PER CIVIL SERVICE RECOMMENDATION AND TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE COMMUNICATIONS SALES REPRESENTATIVE INCENTIVE PAY PLAN WITHIN THE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT BE IT ORDAINED by the Lafayette City Council, that: SECTION 1: The FY 25/26 operating budget and manning tables of the Communications Department of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government are hereby amended to increase the hourly pay rate of the Systems Analyst (1136005) and to provide funding for the Communications Sales Representative incentive pay plan as approved by Civil Service. SECTION 2: The FY 25/26 operating budget of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government shall not be affected due to the sufficient unexpended/unencumbered balance in the salary appropriations within the Communications Department to cover the additional cost needed for the remainder of the 2025/2026 fiscal year. SECTION 3: All ordinances or resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
