PUBLIC NOTICE - - - NOTICE The Lafayette City Council and the Lafayette Parish Council met in a Special Joint Session on April 21, 2026 and introduced the following ordinances. JO-011-2026 A joint ordinance of the Lafayette City Council and the Lafayette Parish Council adjusting the manning tables and amending the FY 25/26 operating and capital improvement budgets of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government to reflect certain adjustments and amendments relative to the reorganizations of the Parks, Arts, Recreation & Culture Department, the Capital Improvements Department, the Drainage Department and the Traffic, Roads, and Bridges Department. JO-012-2026 A joint ordinance of the Lafayette City Council and the Lafayette Parish Council authorizing the Lafayette Mayor-President to enter into a maintenance agreement between the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government and the State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development concerning the maintenance of state roadways to include mowing and litter pickup and amending the FY 25/26 operating budget of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government by decreasing the use of fund balance and increasing reimbursement revenue from the State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development in the amount of $3,920. JO-013-2026 A joint ordinance of the Lafayette City Council and the Lafayette Parish Council amending Chapter 26, Article XI, Division 2 of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government Code of Ordinances related to flood damage prevention. JO-014-2026 A joint ordinance of the Lafayette City Council and the Lafayette Parish Council, acting in their capacity as the governing authority of the City of Lafayette and the Parish of Lafayette, respectively, providing for the abandonment of a certain portion of a 20’ drainage servitude and the dedication of a new 20’ drainage servitude on Lot 20 of the Brookshire South Phase I Subdivision, located at 207 Rutherford Court, and authorizing the Lafayette Mayor-President to execute an Act of Abandonment in order to effectuate the abandonment on behalf of the City of Lafayette, Parish of Lafayette, and the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government.
