PUBLIC NOTICE - - - (NOTICE OF INTENTION TO INTRODUCE LOCAL BILL – HLS 26RS-186) Public notice is hereby given, as provided by Section 13, Article III of the Constitution of Louisiana, that there will be introduced at the forthcoming session of the Legislature of Louisiana, to be convened on March 9, 2026, a bill relative to East Baton Rouge Parish; to create and provide for the Parkview Oaks Crime Prevention and Improvement District; to provide relative to the boundaries, purpose, governance, and powers and duties of the district; to provide for district funding, including the authority to impose and collect a parcel fee; to authorize the district to impose a maximum fee of $250 per year, subject to voter approval, and a maximum fee of $150 for the first calendar year, subject to voter approval; to authorize the district's governing board to increase the fee one time during each subsequent calendar year, without election, not to exceed ten percent of the amount of the fee imposed during the previous calendar year; to prohibit the district's governing board from increasing the fee in excess of the maximum amount; and to provide for related matters. 174339-jan 20-21-22-3t $71.44
