PUBLIC NOTICE - - - NOTICE OF ADOPTION2026 ANNANCES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following ordinance was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Youngsville, Louisiana, held on June 11, 2026. ********** The following Ordinance was offered by Lindy Bolgiano and seconded by Shannon D. Bares: ORDINANCE NO. 512-2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF YOUNGSVILLE, LOUISIANA, DECLARING INTENT TO ACQUIRE FULL OWNERSHIP OF IMMOVABLE PROPERTY DESIGNATED AS 504 AVENUE A. BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Youngsville that: WHEREAS, certain immovable property situated in Section 17, Township 11 South., Range 5 East containing approximately .574 acres, more or less, (“Subject Property”) has been adjudicated to the City of Youngsville by act recorded under Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court file number 9925180; and WHEREAS, the Subject Property is more fully identified as 504 Avenue A, Youngsville, LA 70592; and WHEREAS, the City of Youngsville seeks to acquire full ownership (title) to the Subject Property at issue as provided in R.S. 47:2236; and WHEREAS, in accordance with R.S. 47:2236 (A) the City of Youngsville is declaring its intent to acquire full ownership of the Subject Property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, by the City Council of the city of Youngsville, Parish of Lafayette, State of Louisiana that: SECTION 1: All the aforedescribed “Whereas” clauses are adopted as part of this ordinance. SECTION 2: The City of Youngsville by and through the submission and adoption of this ordinance declares its intent to acquire title (full ownership) of the Subject Property as provided by R.S. 47:2236. SECTION 3: The City Clerk for the City of Youngsville is hereby authorized and shall record this ordinance in the mortgage records for the Parish of Lafayette in compliance with R.S. 47:2236 (B). SECTION 4: The City Clerk for the City of Youngsville is further authorized to issue all requisite notices and publications as required by R.S. 47:2236 (C) (1&2) and (D) (1&2). SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full effect as permitted by law. This Ordinance having been introduced on May 14, 2026, and published giving Notice of the City of Youngsville’s intent to terminate all ownership rights and acquire title to the Subject Property.
