PUBLIC NOTICE - - - METROPOLITAN COUNCIL GREATER BATON ROUGE AIRPORT AUTHORITY EAST BATON ROUGE SEWERAGE COMMISSION CAPITOL IMPROVEMENTS DISTRICT CITY OF BATON ROUGE AND PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE Wednesday, May 20, 2026 4:00 PM The Metropolitan Council of the Parish of East Baton Rouge and the City of Baton Rouge convened in zoning session on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 4:00 PM, in the Council Chambers of the Governmental Building, Room 348, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Meeting was called to order by the Presiding Officer and the following members were present: Present: Adams, Amoroso, Coleman, Dunn Jr., Gaudet, Harris, Hudson, Hurst, Noel, Racca Absent: Kenney, Moak Amending the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge of June 1976, as contained in and made a part of the “Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge for 1958,” as amended so as to: ORDINANCE 19861 CASE 13-26 AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF BATON ROUGE AND PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE OF 2024, AS CONTAINED IN AND MADE A PART OF THE "COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BATON ROUGE AND PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE", AS AMENDED, SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZONING ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF FLORIDA BOULEVARD, WEST OF FONTAINEBLEAU DRIVE, ON PROPERTY NOW OR FORMERLY KNOWN AS A PORTION OF (400 FEET FROM SOUTHERN RIGHTS OF WAYS FOR THE FLORIDA BOULEVARD SERVICE ROAD) TRACT 1 OF FLORIDA HIGHWAY ACRES AS AMENDED BY COUNCIL. SECTION 74, T7S, R2E, GLD, EBRP, LA, TO REZONE FROM RURAL TO HEAVY COMMERCIAL ONE (HC1), AS SHOWN ON A SKETCH PREPARED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED The Presiding Officer announced that a public hearing on the above ordinance was in order at this time. No interested citizens spoke either for or against the proposed ordinance. A motion was made by Ms. Racca and seconded by Mr. Hurst to approve the proposed ordinance as amended. A Yea and Nay vote was called for and resulted as follows: Yeas: Adams, Amoroso, Coleman, Dunn Jr., Gaudet, Harris, Hudson, Hurst, Noel, Racca Nays: None Abstains: None Did Not Vote: None Absent: Kenney, Moak With 10 yeas, 0 nays, 0 abstains, 0 not voting, and 2 absent, the motion was adopted. ORDINANCE 19862 CASE 14-26 AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF BATON ROUGE AND PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE OF 2024, AS CONTAINED IN AND MADE A PART OF THE "COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BATON ROUGE AND PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE", AS AMENDED, SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZONING ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF NORTH STREET, WEST OF NORTH 27TH STREET, ON PROPERTY NOW OR FORMERLY KNOWN AS A PORTION OF UNDESIGNATED TRACT OF THE D. L. MCGUIRE TRACT. SECTION 45, T7S, R1W, GLD, EBRP, LA, TO REZONE FROM HEAVY COMMERCIAL (C2) TO COMMERCIAL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE (BAR AND LOUNGE) (C-AB-2), AS SHOWN ON A SKETCH PREPARED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED The Presiding Officer announced that a public hearing on the above ordinance was in order at this time. ORDINANCE 19863 CASE 15-26 AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF BATON ROUGE AND PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE OF 2024, AS CONTAINED IN AND MADE A PART OF THE "COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BATON ROUGE AND PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE", AS AMENDED, SO AS TO CHANGE THE ZONING ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF STUMBERG LANE, NORTH OF JEFFERSON HIGHWAY, ON PROPERTY NOW OR FORMERLY KNOWN AS LOT N AND LOT K OF STOKES PLACE. SECTION 57, T7S, R2E, GLD, EBRP, LA, TO REZONE FROM RURAL TO LIGHT COMMERCIAL THREE (LC3), AS SHOWN ON A SKETCH PREPARED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED The Presiding Officer announced that a public hearing on the above ordinance was in order at this time. The Presiding Officer announced that a public hearing on the above ordinance was in order at this time. No interested citizens spoke either for or against the proposed ordinance. A motion was made by Ms. Harris and seconded by Mr. Dunn Jr. to approve the proposed ordinance.
