PUBLIC NOTICE - - - CIVIL DISTRICT COURT FOR THE PARISH OF ORLEANS STATE OF LOUISIANA NO. 2006-05539 DIVISION “N” SECTION “8” SUCCESSION OF EARL JOSEPH THOMAS FILED: DEPUTY CLERK NOTICE TO SELL IMMOVABLE PROPERTY AT PRIVATE SALE WHEREAS, the Administratrix of the above-captioned Succession, L’Orchid Bernadette Thomas, has made application to the Court for the sale at private sale of the immovable property hereinafter described, to-wit: A CERTAIN LOT OR PARCEL OF GROUND, together with all the buildings and improvements thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, situated in the Seventh District for the City of New Orleans, in Square No. 39, bounded by Benjamin, Hillary, Hurst, and Adams Streets, being designated buy the letter “J” and according to a survey made by Adlor Orr, Civil Engineer, dated June 1, 1948, said lot “J” begins at a distance of One Hundred Nineteen feet, seven inches and five lines from the corner of Benjamin and Hillary Street, with a front on Bejamin Street of Eighteen feet, one inch, three lines running in the direction of Adams Street, having a width in the rear of twenty feet, one inch and 0 lines and having a depth on the side line nearest to Adams Street of One Hundred fifty feet, 0 inches and 0 lines and with a depth on the opposite side line adjacent to Lot “H” on said blue print of One hundred fifty feet, one inch and two lines. Said lot being composed of part of original lot No. 13. Being the same property acquired by Frederick Toebelman from John B. Kumphreys, by act before E. Commagere, Notary Public, on May 9, 1892 and registered in COB 144, Folio 61. And being the same property acquired by Protestant Home from the Aged in the Succession of Frederick Toebelman, No. 280-470 of the docket of the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans, registered in COB 560, Folio 61. Improvements thereon bear the Municipal No. 7616 Benjamin Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70118. UPON THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS, TO-WIT: ONE HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND AND NO/100 ($120,000.00) DOLLARS, cash, for the Succession’s one-quarter (¼) interest in the above-described property, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement to Buy or Sell attached to the Petition for Authority to Sell Immovable Property at Private Sale filed in these proceedings. Notice is hereby given to all parties whom it may concern, including the heirs and creditors of the decedent and of this estate, to make any opposition which they have or may have to such application at any time prior to the issuance of the order or judgment authorizing, approving, and homologating such application, and that such order or judgment may be issued after the expiration of seven (7) days from the date of the last publication of this notice, all in accordance with law.
