PUBLIC NOTICE - - - ORDINANCE 2026-07 CITY OF ZACHARY PARISH OF EAST BATON ROUGE STATE OF LOUISIANA ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF ZACHARY TO AMEND AND CORRECT CERTAIN DEPARTMENTAL BUDGETS IN THE GENERAL FUND, UTILITY FUND, AND SPECIAL REVENUE FUND FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2025 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2026 WHEREAS, it is a requirement of the Section 5-04 of the Home Rule Charter for the City of Zachary (the “City”) that the City amend and correct the general fund budget, utility fund, and special revenue fund for each fiscal year as necessary, and WHEREAS, the Mayor has determined that it will be necessary to amend and correct the current general fund, utility fund, and special revenue fund budgets for the current fiscal year which commenced July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026 as submitted, presented and introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 12th day of May, 2026, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Zachary at a regular meeting of the City Council convened, that the said amendments and corrections to the referenced budgets having been presented by the Mayor on this ___ day of ______, 2026, and that the required public hearing having been duly called for, advertised and held on the ____ day of _______, 2026: That the corrections and amendments to the general fund, utility fund, and special revenue fund budgets for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026 as attached hereto and made a part hereof are adopted and approved. Budgeted line-item amounts in all funds not affected by these amendments will remain the same and are unaffected; That Mayor David McDavid to the best of his information and belief has hereby certified that there will be sufficient funds necessary to accomplish these amended corrections and appropriations; That the current budget ordinance for the City for the referenced period is hereby amended to read as follows: Budgets for the General Fund, Utility Fund And Special Revenue Fund For The Fiscal Year Commencing July 1, 2025 And Ending June 30, 2026 (As Revised) This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon the final adoption by specification of the City Council pursuant to § 2-10 (C) of the Home Rule Charter adopted by the electors for the City of Zachary.
