PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Notice is hereby given that Entergy Louisiana, LLC has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification to clear, grade, excavate, and place fill to construct a 27-mile long transmission line consisting of two parallel 500-kilovolt lines and eight 500-kilovolt cut-in lines. The lines will begin at the Perryville Power Station off Highway 165 N near Cargas and east of Sterlington in Ouachita Parish, continue through Morehouse Parish, and terminate at the proposed Smalling Substation off Jaggers Lane north of Holly Ridge in Richland Parish. In addition, a 500-kilovolt switchyard station will be constructed east of the Perryville Substation and south of Highway 554, near Cargas, and east of Sterlington in Ouachita Parish. The project is being proposed in response to the construction of a new 2,460-megawatt hyperscale data center being built in order to meet increasing storage demands. Entergy Louisiana, LLC is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority contained in the LAC 33:IX.1507.A-E and provisions of section 401 of the Clean Water Act. Comments concerning this application can be filed with the Water Permits Division within ten days of this notice by referencing WQC 250911-01, AI 248513 to the following address: Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality Water Permits Division P.O.
