PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Notice is hereby given that the Abbeville Harbor & Terminal District has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification to dredge approximately 95,000 cubic yards of material from the center of the Freshwater Bayou Bypass Channel and place the dredged material within existing disposal sites adjacent to the Bypass Channel. Dredged material will also be used to refortify the bank of the Bypass Channel. All work will occur off LA-3 147 south of Kaplan and Abbeville in Vermilion Parish. The Abbeville Harbor & Terminal District is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority contained in the LAC 33:IX. 1507.A-E and provisions of Section 401 of the Clean Water Act.
