PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Notice is hereby given that Entergy Louisiana, LLC., has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification to clear, grade, excavate, and place fill to construct an 84-mile 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from the Commodore 500kV Substation near St. Louis Road south of Plaquemine in Iberville Parish to the proposed Churchill 500kV substation near Nicolle Boulevard south of Avondale in Jefferson Parish. In addition, a 56-mile 230kV transmission line will be constructed from the Commodore 500kV substation in Iberville Parish to the proposed expanded Waterford 230/500kV Substation off Waterford Lane in St. Charles Parish. The Waterford Substation is being expanded as part of this project. Work will occur in Iberville, Ascension, Assumption, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Charles, and Jefferson Parishes. Entergy Louisiana, LLC is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority contained in the LAC 33:IX.1507.A-E and provisions of Section 401 of the Clean Water Act.
