PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Jefferson Parish Housing Services Development District Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program Waiting List Opening The Jefferson Parish Housing Services Development District (HSDD) is pleased to announce that the waiting list for its Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly Section 8) will open on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 8:00 AM. The application period will close on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Pre-applications will only be accepted online at www.jphsdd.org. Please note that submission of an online pre-application does not guarantee placement on this waiting list, eligibility, or an offer of a housing voucher. After the pre-application period ends, a computerized lottery will randomly select 10,000 applicants for placement on the waiting list. Each applicant will be assigned a rank based on their lottery number. Status information regarding placement on the waiting list will be available online after the closing date. Instructions for obtaining status information are provided during the online application process.
