PUBLIC NOTICE - - - - 1 - LAKE BISTINEAU FIELD 26-153 and 26-154 LEGAL NOTICE STATE OF LOUISIANA, DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND ENERGY, BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA. In accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, and with particular reference to the provisions of Title 30 of Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, a public hearing will be held in the Hearing Room, 1st Floor, LaSalle Building, 617 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at 9:00 a.m. on TUESDAY, MAY 12, 2026, upon the application of COMSTOCK OIL & GAS-LOUISIANA, LLC. At such hearing the Department of Conservation and Energy will consider evidence relative to the issuance of Orders pertaining to the following matters relating to the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, in the Lake Bistineau Field, Bienville Parish, Louisiana. 1. To permit the Applicant to drill, designate and utilize one cross unit lateral well to serve as an alternate unit well for HA RA SUB and HA RA SUEE, at the location and in the general manner shown on the plat submitted with the application, in exception to the spacing provisions of the 287-F Series of the Office of Permitting and Compliance Orders. The proposed cross unit lateral alternate unit well for HA RA SUB and HA RA SUEE will be drilled in lieu of the in-unit horizontal alternate unit well locations previously approved by Order No. 287-F-31, effective December 18, 2018, for such units. 2. To explicitly find that the proposed cross unit lateral well is reasonable and in the interest of conservation and is necessary to drain a portion of the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, underlying such units, which cannot be efficiently and economically drained by any existing well in such units. 3. To provide that unit production from said cross unit lateral well shall be allocated to each unit in the same proportion as the perforated length of the lateral in each unit bears to the total length of the perforated lateral as determined by an “as drilled” survey performed after the cross unit well is drilled and completed; provided that unit production for each unit shall continue to be shared on a surface acre basis. 4. To provide that, with respect to any cross unit lateral well drilled to the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, within or to serve HA RA SUB or HA RA SUEE, where the horizontal portion of the well is cased cemented back above the top of the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, the distance to any unit boundary and any offset well(s) should be calculated based on the distance to the nearest perforation in the well, and not based on the penetration point or terminus. 5. To provide that the unit allowables for HA RA SUB and HA RA SUEE, respectively, may be produced from the either the unit well, any alternate unit well, or any combination thereof, at the operator’s discretion. 6. Except to the extent contrary herewith, to confirm and continue the provisions of the 287-F Series of Orders, and any applicable Statewide Orders. 7. To consider such other matters as may be pertinent. The Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A was previously defined in Order No. 287-F, effective December 16, 2008. A plat is available for inspection in the Department of Conservation and Energy in Baton Rouge and Shreveport, Louisiana. http://dnr.louisiana.gov/conshearings All parties having interest therein shall take notice thereof.
