PUBLIC NOTICE - - - - 2 - SLIGO FIELD 26-124 thru 26-127 LEGAL NOTICE STATE OF LOUISIANA, DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND ENERGY, BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA. In accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, and with particular reference to the provisions of Title 30 of Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, a public hearing will be held in the Hearing Room, 1st Floor, LaSalle Building, 617 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at 9:00 a.m. on TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 2026, upon the application of ENSIGHT IV ENERGY MANAGEMENT, LLC. At such hearing the Department of Conservation and Energy will consider evidence relative to the issuance of Orders pertaining to the following matters relating to the Lower Cotton Valley Formation, Reservoir A, in the Sligo Field, Bossier Parish, Louisiana. 1. To permit the applicant to drill, designate and utilize the following wells all to be located in exception to the spacing provisions of Office of Permitting and Compliance Order No. 8-K, effective October 16, 1990, as amended and supplemented by the 8-K Series of Orders: one cross unit horizontal well as additional or alternate unit wells for LCV RA SUB and as an alternate unit well for LCV RA SUBB; one cross unit horizontal well as additional alternate unit wells for LCV RA SUL and as a unit well for LCV RA SUM; two wells as additional or alternate unit wells for LCV RA SUB, at the location and in the general manner shown on the plat submitted with the application and made a part hereof, or at any legal location, in exception to the spacing provisions of the 8-K Series of Orders. 2. To grant applicant an exception to the well spacing provisions of the 8-K Series of Orders, provided there are no perforations in any wellbore closer than 330’ to any unit boundary and limited to 100’ from any unit boundary in the horizontal wellbores closest to the top of the perforations, or base of perforations (200’ between wells in a competitive unit completed in, drilling to, or for which a permit has been granted to drill to the Lower Cotton Valley Formation, Reservoir A), except for the common boundary between said units. 3. To find that these wells are necessary to efficiently and economically drain portions of the reservoir covered by the referenced units which cannot be so drained by any existing wells within said units. 4. To permit the operator to produce the unit allowable for each such unit from the unit well and/or any alternate unit wells, in any combination thereof, at its discretion. 5. To find that unit production from the cross unit horizontal wells should be allocated to each unit in the same proportion as the perforated length of the lateral in each such unit bears to the total length of the perforated lateral as determined by an “as drilled” survey performed after the cross unit horizontal wells are drilled and completed. 6. To provide that production from the proposed cross unit horizontal wells shall be separated and metered individually and this information shall be reported to the Office of Permitting and Compliance in a manner to be prescribed by the Secretary of the Department of Conservation and Energy. 7. To find that, with respect to the proposed horizontal lateral wells, where the horizontal portion of the well is cased and cemented back above the top of the Lower Cotton Valley Formation, Reservoir A, the distance to any unit boundary and offset well(s) should be calculated based on the distance to the nearest perforation in the well, and not based on the penetration point or terminus. 8. Except to the extent inconsistent herewith, to confirm and continue in effect the provisions of Order No. 8-K, effective October 16, 1990, as amended and supplemented by the 8-K Series of Orders, the units created thereby and all applicable Statewide Orders. 9. To consider such other matters as may be pertinent. The Lower Cotton Valley Formation, Reservoir A was defined in Order No. 8-K, effective October 16, 1990. A plat is available for inspection in the Department of Conservation and Energy in Baton Rouge and Shreveport, Louisiana. http://dnr.louisiana.gov/conshearings All parties having interest therein shall take notice thereof.
