PUBLIC NOTICE - - - - 2 - HICO-KNOWLES FIELD 26-12 LEGAL NOTICE STATE OF LOUISIANA, DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND ENERGY, BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA. In accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, and with particular reference to the provisions of Title 30 of Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, a public hearing will be held in the Hearing Room, 1st Floor, LaSalle Building, 617 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at 9:00 a.m. on TUESDAY, JANUARY 13, 2026, upon the application of NADEL & GUSSMAN RUSTON, LLC. At such hearing the Department of Conservation and Energy will consider evidence relative to the issuance of Orders pertaining to the following matters relating to the Lower Hosston B Zone, Reservoir A, in the Hico-Knowles Field, Lincoln Parish, Louisiana. 1. To create one additional drilling and production unit for the exploration for and production of oil, gas and condensate from the Lower Hosston B Zone, Reservoir A, such unit being shown on the plat submitted with the application and being designated L HOSS B RA SUG. 2. To force pool and integrate all separately owned tracts, mineral leases and other property interests within the proposed additional unit in accordance with Section 10, Title 30 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, with each tract sharing in unit production on a surface acreage basis of participation. 3. To permit applicant to designate and utilize its T.L. James No. 1-D Alt. Well as the unit well for the proposed additional unit, said well being located as shown on the plat submitted with the application. 4. To extend, except as in conflict herewith, the provisions of the Department of Conservation and Energy Order No. 137-Y, effective October 13, 1978, as supplemented and amended by the 137-Y Series of Orders, to the proposed additional unit. 5. To find that the well proposed herein is necessary to efficiently and economically drain a portion of the Lower Hosston B Zone, Reservoir A, underlying the unit on which it is proposed to be drilled which cannot be efficiently and economically drained by any existing well on such unit, will prevent waste, avoid the drilling of unnecessary wells, protect correlative rights and promote the full and efficient development of the natural resources of this state. 6. To provide that the unit allowables for the unit to be served by the proposed well may be produced from the unit well/substitute unit well, from any alternate unit well, or from any combination of such wells serving the unit, at the discretion of the operator. 7. Except insofar as set forth, to confirm and continue in full force and effect the provisions of Order No. 137-Y, effective October 13, 1978, as amended and supplemented by the 137-Y Series of Orders, the units created thereby, and of all applicable Statewide Orders. 8. To consider such other matters as may be pertinent. The Lower Hosston B Zone, Reservoir A was defined in Order No. 137-Y, effective October 13, 1978, as reclassified by Supplement to Order No. 137-Y, effective December 5, 1996.
