PUBLIC NOTICE - - - - 3 - BRACKY BRANCH FIELD 25-458 and 25-459 LEGAL NOTICE STATE OF LOUISIANA, DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND ENERGY, BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA. In accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, and with particular reference to the provisions of Title 30 of Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, a public hearing will be held in the Hearing Room, 1st Floor, LaSalle Building, 617 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at 9:00 a.m. on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2025, upon the application of EXPAND OPERATING, LLC. At such hearing the Department of Conservation and Energy will consider evidence relative to the issuance of Orders pertaining to the following matters relating to the Jurassic Zone, Reservoir B and Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, in the Bracky Branch Field, Red River Parish, Louisiana. 1. To confirm the termination of the drilling and production unit for the Jurassic Zone, Reservoir B, designated JUR RB SUL and as shown on the plat submitted with the application, as such termination was applied for by application of Apex Natural Gas, LLC, dated October 2, 2025, which sought administrative termination pursuant to LAC 43:XIX.3105.B (Statewide Order No. 29-L-3), or, alternatively, to dissolve JUR RB SUL. 2. To simultaneously create a single additional drilling and production unit for the exploration for and production of gas and condensate from the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, as shown on the plat submitted with the application, said unit to be designated as HA RA SUEE. 3. To force pool and integrate all of the separately owned tracts, mineral leases and other property interest within HA RA SUEE, with each tract sharing in unit production on a surface acreage basis of participation. 4. To permit the applicant to drill, designate and utilize one cross unit horizontal well as the unit well for HA RA SUEE and as an alternate unit well for JUR RB SUE, and three cross unit horizontal wells as alternate unit wells for HA RA SUEE and JUR RB SUE, at the locations and in the general manner shown on the plat submitted with the application, and to provide that the perforated length of lateral in the cross unit wells should be located no closer than 100’ from the north unit boundary of HA RA SUEE, no closer than 100’ from the south unit boundary of JUR RB SUE, and no closer than 330’ from any other unit boundary except for the common unit boundary between said units, in exception to the spacing provisions of the Department of Conservation and Energy 917-J and 917-L Series of Orders. 5. To find that the proposed cross unit wells are necessary to efficiently and economically drain a portion of the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, underlying HA RA SUEE and the Jurassic Zone, Reservoir B, underlying JUR RB SUE, which cannot be efficiently and economically drained by any existing wells, and such wells will prevent waste, avoid the drilling of unnecessary wells, protect the correlative rights of all parties and promote the full and efficient development of said units. 6. To designate Expand Operating LLC as the operator of HA RA SUEE and as operator of the proposed cross unit wells. 7. To permit the operator of HA RA SUEE and JUR RB SUE to produce the unit allowable for each of the units from the respective unit wells, any alternate unit well(s), or from any combination thereof, at its discretion. 8. To provide that production from the proposed cross unit wells shall be separated and metered individually and this information shall be reported in the manner prescribed by the Department of Conservation and Energy. 9. To continue in force and effect, except to the extent contrary herewith, the pertinent provisions of Order No. 917-J, effective August 1, 2006 and Order No. 917-L, effective September 16, 2008, as amended and supplemented by the 917-J and 917-L Series of Orders, and all applicable Statewide Orders. 10. To consider such other matters as may be pertinent. The Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A was defined in Order No. 917-L, effective September 16, 2008. The Jurassic Zone, Reservoir B was defined in Order No. 917-J, effective August 1, 2006, and redefined in Order No. 917-J-2, effective June 17, 2008.
