PUBLIC NOTICE - - - - 8 - BAY MARCHAND BLOCK 2 FIELD 25-323 LEGAL NOTICE STATE OF LOUISIANA, OFFICE OF CONSERVATION, BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA. In accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, and with particular reference to the provisions of Title 30 of Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, a public hearing will be held in the Hearing Room, 1st Floor, LaSalle Building, 617 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at 9:00 a.m. on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2025, upon the application of CANTIUM, LLC. At such hearing the Commissioner of Conservation will consider evidence relative to the issuance of Orders pertaining to the following matters relating to the 4,475’ M Sand, Reservoir H, in the Bay Marchand Block 2 Field, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. 1. To dissolve the existing drilling and production unit established for the exploration and production of oil and gas for the 4,475’ M Sand, Reservoir H, by Office of Conservation Order No. 184-NNN-1, effective August 20, 2002, as originally defined in Order No. 184-NNN, effective January 11, 2000. 2. To establish rules and regulations governing the exploration for and production of oil and gas and the creation of a single reservoirwide unit for the 4,475’ M Sand, Reservoir H, to be designated BM2 4475 M RH SU, in accordance with the provisions of LA. R.S. 30:5(C) (Act 441 of 1960). 3. To force pool and integrate all separately owned tracts, mineral leases and other mineral interests within the unit, and to provide that unit production and costs from said pool be shared in the proportion that the number of surface acres underlying each tract bears to the total number of surface acres underling the entire unit. 4. To designate a unit well or wells as may be deemed appropriate. 5. To designate Cantium, LLC as the operator of the proposed BM2 4475 M RH SU. 6. To adopt the secondary recovery agreement which authorizes Cantium to inject water into the 4,475’ M Sand, Reservoir H. 7. To approve Cantium’s program of secondary recovery by the injection of water and to establish a reservoir or unit allowable. 8. That in order to provide greater flexibility for the location of additional wells which may be drilled to, completed in or recompleted in the 4,475’ M Sand, Reservoir H, the proposed unit should be exempt from the spacing provisions of Statewide Order No. 29-E. 9. To provide for future reclassification of the reservoir without the necessity of a public hearing if such reclassification becomes necessary due to a change in production characteristics. 10. To consider such other matters as may be pertinent. The 4,475’ M Sand, Reservoir H is hereby defined as being that oil and gas bearing sand encountered between the measured depths of 7,348’ to 7,400’ in the electric log from the original hole of the Cantium (formerly Chevron U.S.A., Inc.)-SL 1365 No. 85 Well (WSN 219034).
