Rabalais - Denenea Madelaine Grace Denenea of River Ridge and Nicholas Scott Rabalais of Baton Rouge were married in an evening ceremony at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in New Orleans on Saturday, Jan. 25. Rev. Philip G. Landry and Deacon Ronald Drez Jr. officiated. The bride is the daughter of Cheryl (Hoffman) and John Henry Denenea Jr. of River Ridge. She is the granddaughter of Catherine Hoffman and the late Thomas Hoffman of Metairie and the late Romey and John H. Denenea Sr. of River Ridge. The bridegroom is the son of Michell (Salomone) and Edward Scott Rabalais of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson of Kathline Rabalais and the late Edward P. Rabalais Jr. of Baton Rouge and the late Ruscilla and Jerome Salomone of Hammond. The bride wore a Martina Liana silk gown. She was attended by her sisters and maids of honor, Elizabeth and Aimee Denenea. Bridesmaids were Lilly Dang, Sarah Dunbar, Catherine Mitchell, Megan Rabalais Nuss and Katherine Rabalais. The bridegroom was attended by his best man, Garrett Kleinpeter and groomsmen William Cotten, Patrick Crosby, Patrick Denenea, Drew Kimbrell, Michael Lefeve and Robert Nuss. The groom's nephews, Bryan and James Nuss, served as ring bearers. Ushers were Hunter Coker, Cole Frischhertz, Hayden Hunt and Michael McWard. Readers were Eliza Touchstone, Madison Dillard and Janie Denenea. Following the nuptial mass was a reception at the Audubon Tea Room. A rehearsal dinner was held the night before the wedding at Ralph's on the Park. The bride is a graduate of St. Mary's Dominican High School in New Orleans and the LSU College of Engineering. The groom is a graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge and the LSU College of Business. The couple plans to honeymoon in Europe later this year and will continue to reside in Denver, Colorado.
