PUBLIC NOTICE - - - West Feliciana Parish Tourism Commission Meeting November 14, 2025, 12:00 pm At the West Feliciana Parish Library Large Meeting Room 5114 Burnett Road St. Francisville, La. Minutes 1. John called the meeting to order at 12:10 pm. 2. Roll call: Present-John Kean, Jim Johnston, Lauren Pourciau, Adrian Percy, Amber Thorne, and Yul Lorio. Others present- Angelice Fried, Don Charlet, Charlie Griffin. 3. John made a motion to accept the agenda items as presented. Lauren made a motion, Jim made a second, the agenda was accepted. 4. Discussion- Adrian addressed the group regarding walking out of meetings in relation to ethics laws, and reported that he had a conversation with the state ethic’s boards to ensure no rules were broken during the September meeting. 5. Old Business a. Discussion of the Executive Director position and other possible avenues to accomplish the goals of the West Feliciana Parish Tourist Commission. Members of the commission had an open discussion and brainstormed ideas and agreed to work on a plan that includes hiring a tourism management firm to coordinate all ads, social media, marketing in accordance with the goals if the commission. Members developed a list of questions to ask potential firms to help sort through viable options. Questions are attached. Commissioners will reach out to firms and report back at the regular meeting to be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025. - Members of the public with interest in tourism participated in the discussion and offered ideas and suggestions to help boost social media presence in the community. b. There was discussion of funds available to allocate towards revitalizing our tourism marketing strategy. Approximately $160,000 annually is the cap set to offer interested firms. This amount would allow for the commission to also hire a part-time office manager to handle day to office duties and a local social media content creator. 6.
