PUBLIC NOTICE - - - NOTICE The Lafayette Parish Council met in Regular Session on December 16, 2025 and adopted the following ordinances: PARISH ORDINANCE NO. PO-056-2025 AN ORDINANCE OF THE LAFAYETTE PARISH COUNCIL AMENDING THE FY 25/26 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS OF THE LAFAYETTE CITY-PARISH CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT BY AUTHORIZING THE USE OF PY FUND BALANCE OF THE JUVENILE DETENTION FACILITY (FUND 2650) IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,000 AND APPROPRIATING WITHIN THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, JUVENILE DETENTION DIVISION, KITCHEN SECTION, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A COMMERCIAL REFRIGERATOR BE IT ORDAINED by the Lafayette Parish Council, that: SECTION 1: The FY 25/26 operating and capital budgets of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government are hereby amended by authorizing the use of PY Fund Balance of the Juvenile Detention Facility (Fund 2650) in the amount of $9,000 and appropriating within the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Juvenile Detention Division, Kitchen Section, to fund the purchase of a commercial refrigerator. SECTION 2: This transfer of funds shall be reflected in any pertinent documents which are attached and made a part hereof and filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Council. SECTION 3: All ordinances or resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective upon signature of the Lafayette Mayor-President, the elapse of ten (10) days after receipt by the Lafayette Mayor-President without signature or veto, or upon an override of a veto, whichever occurs first. * * * * * PARISH ORDINANCE NO. PO-057-2025 AN ORDINANCE OF THE LAFAYETTE PARISH COUNCIL AMENDING THE FY 25/26 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS OF THE LAFAYETTE CITY-PARISH CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT BY AUTHORIZING THE USE OF PY FUND BALANCE OF THE JUVENILE DETENTION FACILITY (FUND 2650) IN THE AMOUNT OF $450,000 AND COMBINING WITH EXISTING FUNDS AND APPROPRIATING WITHIN THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, JUVENILE DETENTION DIVISION, TO FUND SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS AT THE JUVENILE DETENTION HOME BE IT ORDAINED by the Lafayette Parish Council, that: SECTION 1: The FY 25/26 operating and capital budgets of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government are hereby amended by authorizing the use of PY Fund Balance of the Juvenile Detention Facility (Fund 2650) in the amount of $450,000 and combining with existing funds and appropriating within the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Juvenile Detention Division, to fund safety improvements at the Juvenile Detention Home. SECTION 2: This transfer of funds shall be reflected in any pertinent documents which are attached and made a part hereof and filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Council. SECTION 3: All ordinances or resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
