PUBLIC NOTICE - - - NOTICE OF RCRA PERMIT CLASS 2 MODIFICATION REQUEST The Ethyl Corporation (Ethyl) (LDEQ AI No. 3085), Former Baton Rouge Plant, located at Gulf States Road, in Baton Rouge (in East Baton Rouge Parish), Louisiana is providing notification of a Class 2 Permit Modification to its Hazardous Waste Permit LAD 079460895-PC-RN-2. Ethyl has submitted a request for a Class 2 Permit Modification to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) to modify the number, location, depth, or design of upgradient or downgradient wells of a permitted groundwater monitoring system in accordance with LAC 33:V.322. The proposed permit modification includes the replacement or closure of wells based on age, construction, or operational limitations to ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements and reliable monitoring coverage.
