PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Louisiana Department of Conservation and Energy Office of Permitting and Compliance River Parish Sequestration, LLC Class VI Injection Well Ascension Parish Docket No. UIC 2026-01 Application No. 45054 Pursuant to provisions of the laws of the State of Louisiana and particularly Title 43 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 as amended, and provisions of Statewide Order No. 29-N-6, notice is hereby given that the Louisiana Department of Conservation and Energy has prepared a Draft Permit for the application referenced below and that the secretary will conduct a public hearing to solicit comments on the Draft Permit. The hearing will be held in the Donaldsonville Courtroom West, 300 Houmas St. Donaldsonville, LA 70346 at 6:00 P.M. on January 29, 2026. At such hearing, the secretary or his designated representative will give any interested person the opportunity to present testimony, facts, or oral or written comments relative to the Draft Permit prepared in response to an application by: River Parish Sequestration, LLC 1333 West Loop South, Suite 810 Houston, TX 77027 River Parish Sequestration, LLC has applied to the Office of Permitting and Compliance, Engineering Division for a permit to drill, construct, and operate a Class VI Injection Well for the geologic sequestration of carbon dioxide in Section 16, Township 11 South, Range 14 East, of Ascension Parish. The facility’s coordinates are 30°06'9.04" N, 91°03'45.37" W. The proposed well will be identified as RPN-1-INJ Well No. 001. The well will be drilled to a depth of approximately 10,385 feet below ground level (BGL). The base of the lowermost underground source of drinking water (USDW) at this location occurs at an approximate depth of 590 feet BGL.
