PUBLIC NOTICE - - - UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT EASTERN DISTRICT OF LOUISIANA IN THE MATTER OF THE COMPLAINT OF TRES MARINE CORPORATION AS OWNER OF THE VESSEL M/V MITCHELL C AND GULF LOGISTICS OPERATING, INC. AS OPERATOR FOR EXONERATION FROM OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY CIVIL ACTION NO.: 25-2366 SECTION: “T” (1) NOTICE TO CLAIMANTS OF COMPLAINT FOR EXONERATION FROM OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY NOTICE is given that Petitioners TRES MARINE CORPORATION as owner of the M/V MITCHELL C and GULF LOGISTICS OPERATING, INC., as Operator, filed a Complaint pursuant to 46 U.S.C. §30501, et seq. claiming the right to exoneration from or limitation of liability for all claims for loss, damage, death, injury or destruction alleged caused, arising out of, or resulting from the events that occurred on or about September 29, 2024 wherein Steve Tomeny, Inc., Southern Pride Charters, L.L.C. and M/V Louisiana allege damages and loss of business revenue resulting from an allision between the M/V Louisiana and the M/V Mitchell C in Camanada Pass. All persons, firms, corporations or other legal entities asserting claims with respect to which the Complaint seeks limitation and/or exoneration are advised to file their respective claims under oath with the Clerk of Court at the United States District Courthouse for the Eastern District of Louisiana, 500 Poydras Street, Room C151, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130, and to serve on the attorney for Complainant, Alan J. Meche, Allen & Gooch, 2000 Kaliste Saloom Road, Suite 400, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508, a copy thereof, on or before the 30th day of April, 2026, or be defaulted. Personal attendance is not required. Any claimant desiring to contest either the right of exoneration from or the right to limitation of liability shall file and serve an answer to the Complaint on or before the above date unless his claim has included an answer, all as required by Rule 5 of the Supplemental Rules for Certain Admiralty and Maritime Claims.
