PUBLIC NOTICE - - - Diversion Water Company, L.L.C. has filed a request with the Louisiana Public Service Commission for an increase in its rates for water service and fees within its service area in Ascension and Livingston Parishes. The rate increase is necessary due to increased costs in operations, materials, labor and equipment. The existing water service monthly minimum for residential customers is $26.00 for the first 2000 gallons and $3.70 per each additional 1000 gallons. The proposed monthly minimum for residential customers is $40 for the first 2000 gallons, and $10 for each additional 1000 gallons. The existing residential Tap-In Fee is $525 the proposed residential Tap-In Fee is $700. The residential Connection Fee is currently $120 in the proposed Connection Fee is $150. The existing Reconnection fee is $120, and the proposed Reconnection Fee is $150 during regular hours and $250 after hours. The Residential Service Charge is currently $60, and the proposed Residential Service Charge will be $75 during business hours and $150 after regular business hours. The existing water service monthly minimum for Commercial Customers is $52 for the first 2000 gallons and $5.50 for each additional thousand gallons. The proposed Commercial Customer minimum is $72 for the first 2000 gallons, and $10 for each additional thousand gallons. The existing Commercial Tap-In Fee is $575. The proposed Commercial Tap-In Fees are $800 for a 5/8 Inch line, $1000 for a 1-inch line, $3,000 for a1 ½ Inch Line, and $4,000 for a 2 Inch Line. The existing Commercial Connection Fee is $240, and the proposed Commercial Connection Fee is $300. The existing Commercial Reconnection Fee is $240, and the proposed Commercial Reconnection Fee is $450. The existing Commercial Service Charge is $70; the proposed Commercial Service Charges are $85 during regular business hours and $165 after hours.
