PUBLIC NOTICE - - - - 5 - ELM GROVE FIELD 25-467 thru 25-469 LEGAL NOTICE STATE OF LOUISIANA, DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND ENERGY, BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA. In accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, and with particular reference to the provisions of Title 30 of Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, a public hearing will be held in the Hearing Room, 1st Floor, LaSalle Building, 617 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at 9:00 a.m. on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2025, upon the application of COMSTOCK OIL & GAS-LOUISIANA, LLC. At such hearing the Department of Conservation and Energy will consider evidence relative to the issuance of Orders pertaining to the following matters relating to the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, in the Elm Grove Field, Bienville and Bossier Parishes, Louisiana. 1. To permit the applicant to drill, designate and utilize one cross unit horizontal well to serve as a unit well for HA RA SU153, and an alternate unit well for HA RA SUWW and HA RA SUYY, at the location and in the general manner shown on the plat submitted with the application, in exception to the spacing provisions of the Department of Conservation and Energy 361-L Series of Orders. (The portion of the proposed cross unit lateral well in Sections 5 and 8 will be drilled in lieu of the cross unit lateral alternate unit well for HA RA SUYY and the unit well for HA RA SU153 as per Order No. 361-L-256, effective June 7, 2022. Furthermore, the portion of the proposed cross unit lateral alternate unit well in Section 17 will be drilled in lieu of the cross unit lateral alternate unit well approved for HA RA SUWW (Section 17) and HA RA SU131 (Section 20) by Order No. 361-L-244, effective February 1, 2022.) 2. To explicitly find that the proposed cross unit horizontal well is reasonable and in the interest of conservation and is necessary to drain a portion of the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, underlying such units, which cannot be efficiently and economically drained by any existing well in such units. 3. To provide that the unit production from said cross unit horizontal well shall be allocated to each unit in the same proportion as the perforated length of the lateral in each unit bears to the total length of the perforated lateral as determined by an “as drilled” survey performed after the cross unit well is drilled and completed; provided that unit production for each unit shall continue to be shared on a surface acre basis. 4. To provide that unit production from said cross unit horizontal well shall be separated and metered individually and this information shall be reported to the Department of Conservation and Energy, in the manner prescribed by the Department of Conservation and Energy. 5. To provide that, with respect to any cross unit horizontal well drilled to the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, within or to serve HA RA SU153, HA RA SUWW and HA RA SUYY, where the horizontal lateral portion of the well is cased and cemented back above the top of the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, the distance to any unit boundary and any offset well(s) should be calculated based on the distance to the nearest perforation in the well, and not based on the penetration point or terminus. 6. To provide that the unit allowables for HA RA SU153, HA RA SUWW or HA RA SUYY, respectively, may be produced from either the unit well or substitute unit well, any alternate unit well, or any combination thereof, at the operator’s discretion. 7. Except to the extent contrary herewith, to confirm and continue the provisions of Order No. 361-L Series of Orders. 8. To consider such other matters as may be pertinent. The Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A was defined in Order No. 361-L, effective July 29, 2008 and was redefined, INSOFAR AND ONLY INSOFAR as HA RA SUWW is concerned, in Order No. 361-L-82, effective April 27, 2010.
